Cabramatta Food Tour
Cabramatta is Australia's most multicultural postcode with 70% of the population born overseas with nationalities from over 120 countries working and living there. In the late 1970s the arrival of refugees from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos reflect the current cultures of Cabramatta.
Today Cabramatta's Central Business District is a lot cleaner and safer than in the past. Every Sunday the CBD receives more than 15,000 visitors.
Meet up with us in Cabramatta for a foodies tour through Sydney’s ‘Vietnam’. The streets are bustling with people with loads of specialty food stores to check out. Start off with a complimentary freshly crushed sugar cane juice with fresh orange as our resident expert on Vietnamese food and culture explains the different types of produce and how it’s used. You’ll get to sample some of the goodies along the way too.
Lunch will consist of a big Vietnamese shared banquet so you can try all sorts of delicacies.
In 2010 we have excluded the bus travel. This tour includes a walking tour of Cabramatta, samples and lunch. As part of the tours we encourage you to purchase goods along the way at the various stops. A soft pack style esky is recommended.
Tour starts at 10am sharp and will finish around 1.30pm. After the tour why not finish off any shopping you might have missed or for grabbing your cold or frozen produce.
